Darkside II: Photographic Power and Violence, Disease and Death Photographed es un catálogo de una exposición homónima que exploraba la relación de la fotografía con temas como la violencia, la enfermedad y la muerte. No es un libro apto para personas sensibles o aprensivas debido a que plasma continuamente cuerpos heridos y desfigurados, escenas de dolor y pérdida, entre otros. Busca plantear y cuestionar la atracción de la fotografía ante estos temas, cuál es el impacto visual y el impacto que tienen. Podemos ver fotografías de los grandes nombres de esta rama artística, así como Antoine d’Agata, Christian Boltanski, Sophie Calle, Nan Goldin, Peter Hujar, Sally Mann, Enrique Metinides, Shirin Neshat, Gilles Peress, Cindy Sherman y Weegee, entre otros.

La exposición se realizó en Suiza en el Fotomuseum Winterthur en Suiza en noviembre de 2009, acompañada de este cátalogo de 368 páginas en las que encontramos las 270 fotografías junto a diversos textos en alemán e inglés, donde se analizan estas conexiones entre los conceptos de violencia y sufrimiento con la fotografía, para esto cuentan con diferentes autores de diversos contextos históricos y culturales. Es un producto díficil de encontrar actualmente en tiendas convencionales.
